Lyrics

Pacing back from manly, through February sweltering dusk
Passing lovers and joggers, the pines pierce the cusp
Lanterns light the headland, homes buried in the cliffs
Time pulses, like the waves lunging at the sandy strip

And I feel that I'm of here, oh I feel the sea in my sweat
But I'm rusting, and I'm eager to flee like a child the sea has never met

Out beyond the surfers, clouds skim across the sea,
And a vibrant palette of pinks, they elope and release.
I rest against the sandstone, proof of mankind's fight
But just like this meagre wall I'll succumb to the ocean's might

And I feel that I'm of here, oh I feel the sea in my sweat.
But I'm rusting, and I'm eager to flee like a child the sea has never met.

And the tide will encroach upon our sandy shores, we'll all be enveloped by the
sea once more.
And the tide will encroach upon our sandy shores, we'll all be swallowed by the
sea once more.
